Originally posted by:Works fine on Win7 64Bit Just go to the installed folder, go to the 'Exe' folder and look for the 'DISCIPLE.INI' file. Open it with an editor and edit everything beneeth 'Installation' and 'InstallationClient'. Change every path from the default C: programm files (x86) to the path were you installed the game. You should be fine to go. Just out of curiosity, what would happen if you just deleted the INI file? Typically, that will force a game to reconstruct it (in fact, that's usually how they're first created, when you run a game for the first time). Ostensibly, it should use more logical paths when doing so.
Granted, I'd hold onto the old ini file, just in case something went horribly wrong, but it seems like it might be an easier solution than manually adjusting several lines, where a single typo could still stop the game from functioning.IMPORTANT NOTE.: I shouldn't have to say this, but I will anyway: I only suggest it because it's an INI file, and that's how they usually work. Do NOT simply go around randomly deleting files that cause problems. More likely than not, it won't fix anything and will just create more problems. INI files, typically being a collection of configuration data, are a special case, and deleting them usually causes the game to revert to its default settings. This is a good general advice, thanks. But in this case, the ini file is not recreated by the game. The game crashes directly and shows the message like before: - Disciples: Sacred Lands - Impossible d'initialiser Disciples. OK.
