The past 2 years I've used it to prepare for meets, usually about 20 weeks out from meet minus 3 week taper. I omitted week 6. This is not a strenght program. It is specifically for powerlifting IMO. I was pleased with the results - do you me to be specific about actual numbers?Just wondering if people found it effective. My back is still kinda screwed up so I thought using this to taper back to lifting heavy over the next 5-6 weeks might be fun, especially since it would allow for me to test maxes around the end of the year. My back is still kinda screwed up so I thought using this to taper back to lifting heavy over the next 5-6 weeks might be fun, especially since it would allow for me to test maxes around the end of the year.what I like about the program is how the volume/intensity swings like a pendulum for 5 weeks. The program provides hypertrophy for 2 weeks than intensity increases. I found this to be very effective. I think this is better suited for an advanced lifter that is focused on Powerlifting.

Won't be able to give a good report on how the Candito thing is working for me. Work schedule ended up being insane and had to go to one lift a day in order to get some lifts in.

Also could not follow the template very closely on upper body due to an injury, and the only time that I actually followed the template for upper body, which involved high rep(for me) assistance lifts, I ended up with tendinitis in my old ass elbows. I did follow the squat programming reasonably well, and seem to have made a little bit of progress there, most notably a strong 3x5 rep PR of 350x5x3.

My previous PR for volume work was 335x5x5 with brutal difficulty. On a positive note, I seem to be noticing that an extra day of recovery compared to what 'normal' programming calls for might be beneficial for me. I may test this out over the next couple of weeks and attempt to hit some PR's over the upcoming weeks by resting one more day than normal between squat sessions.
